Financial Information

Costs for an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) cycle vary from program to program. Cycle prices vary according to the type of ART selected. Before initiating ART, patients should discuss financial arrangements with the billing personnel.

Additional expenses may include loss of wages from time missed at work and expenses incurred due to travel and/or accommodations. In addition, the medications utilized in ART procedures (gonadotropins, hCG, GnRH analogs, or GnRH antagonists) are very expensive. All of these factors must be considered in determining the financial feasibility of participation in an ART program.

SART is actively working at both the state and national levels to try to obtain insurance coverage for ART.
